BBQ Paprika Chicken

BBQ Paprika Chicken

By Wanda Robinson

Total: 40 minutes

Ingredients

  • 4 pieces Chicken thighs
  • 2 tbsp Paprika
  • 1 3/4 cup Soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup Barbecue sauce
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Black pepper
  • 1 tbsp Garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp Onion powder

Instructions

1

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

2

In a small bowl, mix together the paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper to create a dry rub.

3

Pat the chicken thighs dry with paper towels to remove any excess moisture. This helps get a crispy skin.

4

Rub the spice mixture generously over the chicken thighs, ensuring they are well coated on all sides.

5

In a large oven-safe skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the seasoned chicken thighs, cooking for about 4-5 minutes until nicely browned on one side.

6

Flip the chicken thighs and cook for an additional 4-5 minutes on the other side, browning them slightly.

7

Reduce the heat to low, and pour in the soy sauce and barbecue sauce, stirring slightly to combine with the chicken juices.

8

Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).

9

Remove from the oven and let the chicken rest for about 5 minutes before serving. Serve hot with extra barbecue sauce on the side, if desired!
