By Stephanie Loya

Total: 35 minutes

Ingredients

  • 200 g Brie cheese
  • 1/2 cup cranberry sauce
  • 100 g prosciutto
  • 1 tbsp fresh rosemary
  • 2 sheets puff pastry sheets
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper

Instructions

1

Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2

Roll out the puff pastry sheets on a lightly floured surface until they are about 1/8 inch thick. Cut each sheet into 12 equal squares.

3

Slice the Brie cheese into 24 small pieces that will fit the squares of puff pastry.

4

Place a piece of Brie in the center of each pastry square. Top each with 1/2 teaspoon of cranberry sauce.

5

Cut the prosciutto into small strips and place one strip on top of the cranberry sauce on each pastry square.

6

Finely chop the fresh rosemary and sprinkle a small pinch over the prosciutto on each square.

7

Fold the corners of the puff pastry over the filling, pinching them together at the top to seal the pastry.

8

In a small bowl, beat the egg with a fork and brush over the tops of each pastry to ensure they become golden brown when baked.

9

Transfer the prepared pastry bites to the lined baking sheet, leaving space between each.

10

Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until the pastry is puffed and golden brown.

11

Remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly before serving. Garnish with additional rosemary sprigs if desired.
