In a blender, combine the frozen mixed berries, protein powder, unsweetened almond milk, and chia seeds.
Blend the mixture on high speed until it is smooth and creamy. If the mixture is too thick, add a little more almond milk, 1 tablespoon at a time, until the desired consistency is reached.
Taste the smoothie and add sweetener (such as honey or agave syrup) if desired, and blend again until combined.
Pour the smoothie into a bowl.
Sprinkle the granola over the top of the smoothie bowl for a crunchy topping.
Serve immediately with your choice of additional toppings such as fresh fruits, nuts, or seeds if desired.
