Ingredients

  • 120 g ground turkey
  • 100 g whole-wheat spaghetti (dry)
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • 1 small onion
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan
  • to taste optional salt
  • to taste optional black pepper
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 serving side salad

Instructions

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the whole-wheat spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

While the pasta is cooking, finely chop the onion and mince the garlic cloves.

Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, sauté for about 3 minutes until soft and fragrant.

Add the ground turkey to the skillet. Cook, breaking up the meat with a wooden spoon, until browned and cooked through, about 5 minutes.

Pour the tomato sauce into the skillet with the turkey. Stir to combine and let it simmer for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet. Toss well to combine with the turkey Bolognese sauce.

Serve the spaghetti topped with grated Parmesan cheese and a side salad on the plate.
