  • 1/2 medium Onion
  • 1 tbsp Chili powder
  • 1 tsp Cumin
  • 1 tbsp Olive oil
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Black pepper
  • 1 slice Cornbread slice

Instructions

1

Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a pot over medium heat.

Finely chop 1/2 medium onion and add it to the pot. Sauté for about 2-3 minutes, until the onion becomes translucent.

3

Add 150 g of ground turkey to the pot and cook until it is browned, about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally.

4

Stir in 1 tablespoon of chili powder and 1 teaspoon of cumin. Cook for another 1-2 minutes to release the flavors of the spices.

Add 1 can of crushed tomatoes and 1/2 cup of kidney beans to the pot. Mix everything until well combined.

6

Season with 1 teaspoon of salt and 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper. Stir and bring the mixture to a simmer.

7

Lower the heat and let the chili simmer for about 20 minutes, stirring occasionally, to let the flavors meld.

8

Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary, adding more salt or spices according to your preference.

9

Serve hot with a slice of cornbread on the side.
