Divide the ground beef into four equal portions, about 100 grams each. Shape each portion into a round patty, pressing gently to form a patty about 1 cm thick. Make a slight indentation in the center of each patty to help them cook evenly.
Season both sides of each patty with salt, black pepper, onion powder, and garlic powder.
Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once the oil is shimmering, add the patties to the skillet.
Cook the patties for about 3-4 minutes on one side. Flip them over gently and place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty. Continue cooking for another 3-4 minutes or until they reach your desired doneness.
While the patties are cooking, slice the burger buns in half and lightly toast them on a separate pan until golden brown.
Prepare the toppings by washing the lettuce leaves, slicing the tomato, and arranging the pickle slices.
Assemble the burgers by placing a patty on the bottom half of a toasted bun. Add one lettuce leaf, a slice of tomato, and pickle slices on each burger. Drizzle a tablespoon of ketchup and mayonnaise over the toppings.
Top each burger with the other half of the bun and serve immediately while warm.
