  • 240 g Canned black beans (drained)
  • 400 g Tomato passata
  • 1 medium (chopped) Onion
  • 2 cloves (minced) Garlic
  • 1 tbsp Chili powder
  • 2 tsp Ground cumin
  • 1 tbsp Olive oil
  • to taste (optional) Salt
  • to taste (optional) Pepper

Instructions

Heat the olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.

Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the pot. Sauté for about 3-4 minutes until the onion becomes translucent.

Add the lean ground turkey to the pot. Cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the turkey is browned and cooked through.

Stir in the chili powder and ground cumin. Cook for an additional minute until the spices become fragrant.

Add the canned black beans and tomato passata to the pot. Stir well to combine all ingredients.

Season the chili with salt and pepper to taste. Bring to a simmer.

Reduce the heat to low, cover the pot, and let the chili simmer for 20 minutes to let the flavors meld together, stirring occasionally.
