Finely chop the medium onion and mince the garlic cloves.
Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Add the chopped onion to the skillet and sauté until it becomes translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional 1 minute until fragrant.
Add 500g of ground beef to the skillet. Break it apart with a spatula and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
Season the beef with 1 teaspoon of salt, 0.5 teaspoon of black pepper, 1 teaspoon of paprika, and 1 teaspoon of dried oregano. Stir well to combine.
Continue to cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, or until the beef is fully cooked and no pink remains.
Taste and adjust the seasoning if necessary. Serve hot with your choice of side or as a filling for tacos, chilies, or pasta dishes.
