Stir-FryDinnerAsianQuick and Easy

Ingredients

  • 140 g lean beef strips (sirloin or flank)
  • 1 cup cooked brown rice
  • 200 g mixed stir-fry vegetables (bell pepper, snap peas, carrot, onion)
  • 1 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp neutral oil (e.g., canola oil)
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 inch ginger

Instructions

1

Prepare the ingredients: Mince the garlic and ginger. Cut the beef into thin strips if not already sliced.

2

Heat 1 teaspoon of neutral oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.

3

Add the minced garlic and ginger to the skillet and stir-fry for about 30 seconds until fragrant.

4

Add the beef strips to the skillet. Stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until the beef is browned but not fully cooked through.

5

Add the mixed stir-fry vegetables to the skillet. Continue stir-frying for another 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are tender-crisp.

6

Lower the heat to medium and add 1 tablespoon of low-sodium soy sauce and 1 teaspoon of sesame oil to the skillet. Stir well to combine and coat all ingredients.

7

Continue to cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until everything is heated through and the beef is cooked to your liking.

8

Serve the stir-fry over the cooked brown rice, ensuring each serving has an even distribution of beef and vegetables.
