Cheesy Scrambled Eggs

Cheesy Scrambled Eggs

By Artemis Kitt

Total: 10 minutes
BreakfastEgg Dishes

Ingredients

  • 4 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup cheddar cheese
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

1

Crack the eggs into a medium-sized bowl. Add the milk, salt, and black pepper. Whisk together until fully combined and slightly frothy.

2

Grate the cheddar cheese until you have approximately 1/2 cup.

3

Place a nonstick skillet over medium heat and add the butter. Allow it to melt, swirling it around the pan to coat the bottom.

4

Pour the egg mixture into the skillet and let it sit for a few seconds until you see the edges just beginning to set.

5

Start gently stirring the eggs with a spatula, pulling them from the edges towards the center. Continue cooking by stirring slowly and continuously.

6

Once the eggs are mostly cooked and slightly runny, sprinkle the grated cheese over the eggs. Stir gently to melt the cheese into the eggs.

7

Continue to cook for another minute or until the eggs are fully cooked yet still soft and creamy. Remove from heat immediately to prevent overcooking.

8

Serve the cheesy scrambled eggs hot, garnished with an optional sprinkle of additional black pepper or fresh herbs if available.
