In a small saucepan, heat 1 teaspoon of coconut oil over medium heat.
Once the oil has melted, add the mixed berries (1/2 cup) to the saucepan.
Add 1 tablespoon of honey, 1 teaspoon of lemon juice, and a pinch of salt (1/8 teaspoon) to the berries.
Pour in 2 tablespoons of water to help prevent the mixture from sticking and assist in the cooking process.
Cook the berries over medium heat, stirring occasionally, for about 5-7 minutes, or until the berries break down and the mixture becomes thick and bubbly.
Once the compote is ready, remove from the heat and let it cool slightly.
Slice the banana and arrange the slices on a serving dish.
Spoon the warm berry compote over the sliced banana.
Serve the Coconut-Berry Compote with Sliced Banana immediately, or let it cool down to room temperature before serving.
