Slice the bell peppers and onion into thin strips. Set aside.
Cut the chicken breasts into thin strips.
In a bowl, combine the olive oil, ground cumin, chili powder, salt, and pepper. Add the chicken strips and toss to coat evenly.
Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned chicken strips and cook for about 8-10 minutes until they are fully cooked and slightly charred. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
In the same skillet, add the sliced bell peppers and onions. Sauté for about 5-7 minutes, until they are tender and slightly caramelized.
Meanwhile, dice the avocados and chop the fresh cilantro. Slice the lime into wedges.
Reheat the cooked brown rice and black beans if necessary. You can do this in a microwave or on the stove over medium heat.
Assemble the fajita bowls by dividing the brown rice and black beans among four bowls. Top each with chicken, sautéed peppers and onions, diced avocado, a squeeze of lime juice, and fresh cilantro.
