Ingredients

  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a muffin tin with butter or non-stick spray.

In a medium saucepan, combine the butter and milk. Place over medium heat and bring to a simmer.

Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in flour and salt until combined. Let it cool for a few minutes.

Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition until the batter is smooth.

Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese and pepper. Mix until the cheese is evenly distributed in the batter.

Spoon the batter into the prepared muffin tin, filling each cup about 2/3 full.

Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the puffs are golden brown and cooked through.

Remove from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy warm.
