Slice the chicken breasts into thin strips.
In a large bowl, combine chicken strips with 1 tablespoon of olive oil, chili powder, ground cumin, salt, and pepper. Mix well to coat the chicken evenly with the spices.
Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated chicken strips to the skillet and cook for about 5-7 minutes, until cooked through and no longer pink in the center. Remove chicken from the skillet and set aside.
In the same skillet, add the remaining 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Add the sliced onions and bell peppers, and sauté for about 5-7 minutes until they are tender and slightly charred.
Add the black beans to the skillet with the onions and bell peppers. Stir to combine and cook for an additional 2 minutes to heat the beans through.
In a large serving bowl or individual bowls, layer the cooked brown rice, the chicken strips, the bell pepper mixture, and the black beans.
Top with slices of avocado, a squeeze of lime juice, and fresh cilantro. Add more salt and pepper to taste if needed.
Serve immediately while warm, and enjoy your Chicken Fajita Bowls!
