Total: 30 minutes
Main CourseAmericanBurgers

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 4 pieces burger buns
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese slices
  • 4 leaves lettuce
  • 1 medium, sliced tomato
  • 1 medium, sliced onion
  • 8 slices pickles
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup mustard
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

Instructions

1

Divide ground beef into 4 equal portions and shape them into patties. Press the center of each patty down slightly to prevent puffing up during cooking.

2

Season each patty with salt and black pepper on both sides.

3

Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the beef patties to the skillet.

4

Cook the patties for about 3-4 minutes on one side, then flip. Place a slice of cheddar cheese on top of each patty.

5

Cook for another 3-4 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the patty is cooked to your preferred doneness.

6

While the patties are cooking, toast the burger buns in the oven or on another skillet until golden brown.

7

Spread ketchup and mustard on the bottom half of each toasted bun.

8

Place a leaf of lettuce on the bottom half, followed by the cheeseburger patty.

9

Top with tomato slices, onion slices, and pickle slices.

10

Cover with the top half of the bun. Serve immediately and enjoy!
