Begin by draining the 2 cans of tuna completely. Place the drained tuna in a medium-sized mixing bowl.
Add the 1/4 cup of mayonnaise to the bowl with the tuna.
Add the diced 1/4 cup of celery and 1/4 cup of onion to the mixture.
Season the tuna mixture with salt and pepper to taste, adjusting according to preference.
Using a fork or spoon, mix all the ingredients thoroughly until well combined.
Wash the lettuce leaves and pat them dry. Lay them out on a serving plate.
Spoon the tuna salad evenly onto the center of each lettuce leaf.
Serve immediately as a light lunch or snack.
