Prepare the veal cutlets by gently pounding them to an even thickness of about 1/2 inch. Season both sides with salt and pepper.
In a large skillet, melt 1 tablespoon of butter over medium heat. Add the veal cutlets to the skillet and sear for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and cooked through. Once done, remove the cutlets from the skillet and set them aside on a plate.
In the same skillet, add the remaining 1 tablespoon of butter. Add the sliced mushrooms and sauté for about 5 minutes, or until they are browned and tender.
Pour in the Marsala wine to the skillet with the mushrooms. Stir to combine, scraping any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet. Allow the wine to simmer for about 3-4 minutes, or until it has reduced and thickened slightly.
Return the veal cutlets to the skillet, spoon some of the mushroom and wine sauce over them, and cook for an additional 2 minutes to heat through and blend the flavors.
Serve the veal cutlets hot, drizzled with the Marsala sauce and mushrooms on top. Enjoy your meal!
